Krishna's Naughty Morning

🐄 DEVOTION & PLAY

Krishna’s Naughty Morning

A story about a little prank that turned into a village-wide adventure.

It was a very quiet morning in the village.

A gentle breeze was blowing, and the birds were singing sweet songs. I

n the cowshed, the cows were peacefully eating grass.

Everything was perfectly still.

Then, Krishna’s big brother, Balaram, and his friends arrived.

They sat down to plan which game to play that day.

But Krishna sat quietly.
Whenever Krishna is quiet, you can be sure he is up to some mischief!

Krishna was watching the cows, and the cows were looking back at him while they ate.

A little calf blinked her eyes at him, and Krishna smiled.

👣 The Little Prank

Krishna stood up slowly and started walking quietly. He whispered to his brother and friends,

Shhh! Be quiet!”.

The little calf thought,
What is this little troublemaker going to do now?”.

Krishna reached the gate of the cowshed.

The wooden gate was closed.

He looked left and he looked right to make sure no one was watching.

Then—

tuck!

he opened the gate.

He quickly ran back and sat with his friends as if he hadn't done anything at all.

💨 Chaos in the Village

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then suddenly—BAM!—the cows started running out!

Moo! Moo!”.

The whole village shook.

Dust flew everywhere, and the people were shocked.

One man shouted, “Hey! Look out!”.

A lady cried, “Oh no! How did this happen?”.

The elders worried because it was going to be a very hot day, and the cows weren't supposed to be out.

The cows ran all over the village.

One cow ended up wearing a flower garland,
and another ran off with some vegetables.

It was a total, funny mess!

😇 Krishna’s Innocent Face

Krishna’s brother and friends quickly ran away because they knew trouble was coming.

But Krishna just stood by the gate, laughing to himself.

A villager shouted,

Krishna! Did you open that gate?”.

Krishna made a very innocent face and said,

Who, me? No! No! No! No! Not me!”.

Then Krishna started running, too.

He wasn't running to catch the cows;
he was running just to enjoy the fun.

The whole village was chasing the cows to bring them back. The children were laughing, and the cows were winning the race.

🎶 The Magic Flute

By evening, the cows had wandered into the forest and had not come back.

Everyone was tired and worried.

Seeing them sad,
Krishna took out his flute and began to play a beautiful melody.
Very quickly, all the cows followed the music and returned home.

The villagers were so happy.
Everyone took their cows back to the shed.

Balaram and the friends came back to see Krishna.

Krishna told his mother, Yashoda,

I’m very hungry! Please give me and my friends something to eat”.

Mother Yashoda gave them lots of sweets, curd, and butter.

After eating, the friends went home to study.

Krishna and Balaram also went to their room to do their lessons.

Every day was a new game for Krishna, but even though he was naughty, he was also very smart and good at his studies.
