Tikko & Totto: The Grass Day Disaster

🐹 HARD WORK & FRIENDSHIP

A funny story about why shortcuts don't work in the mountains.

In the rocky mountain fields lived two pika neighbors.

Tikko was fast, focused, and always working.
Totto was chill, playful, and a professional shortcut expert.

Winter was coming, and that meant only one thing...
Grass. Lots of grass.

Tikko zoomed across the meadow with his mouth full of green grass.
“Pik! Pik! Pik!
Tikko squeaked. “Oey Totto! No playing today!”

Totto stretched lazily.
Brooooo… look at this weather. Sunny. Peaceful.”

But Tikko was serious:
Winter. Is. Coming.

⚡ Speed Mode & Totto Mode

Tikko went into SPEED MODE.
(whoosh sounds)
“Whoosh! Whoosh!”

Totto was in "Slow Motion Mode."
By the third trip,
Totto was missing.

“I’m tired brooooo…”
Totto called from the rocks.
But Totto was lying. His shortcut brain had activated.

🕵️ The Tiny Theft

While Tikko worked, Totto started a tiny theft operation.
He stole grass from Tikko’s pile!
One time…
two times…
five times.

But on the sixth attempt—
WHOOSH!
Tikko returned.

“TRRRRRRIII?!!!!”
Tikko shouted.

“NO WAAAAYYYY!!! 😳”
Totto yelled and ran.

After a full-speed chase…

🤝 The Hustle & The Hug

“STOP! STOPPP!! FREEEEZE!!”
😠
Tikko squeaked.
Totto froze mid-step.
Like a tiny guilty statue 😂

Tikko peeked into Totto’s home.
Pause.

“…BRO.”
“That’s MY grass.” 😠

Tikko was serious:
“One more grass theft…” 😠
“Friendship CANCELLED.”

“…Trrrrri.” 😔

Totto felt guilt wobble inside his brain.

The next day… 😌
No shortcuts. No laziness.
Totto worked HARD 😂

Soon…
Both homes were filled with soft, cozy grass.
Warm beds.
Winter snacks.
Everything perfectly ready 😌
“Trrrrruuu…”
Play time quietly returned.
And just like that…
So did their tiny, wobbly friendship 😂✨

⚓ Parent & Child Action

Parent: “Do you think Totto’s shortcut was a good idea?”
“How does it feel when we work hard together like Tikko and Totto at the end?”

🐹 Did You Know?

Pika Haypiles:
Pikas are famous for making "haypiles." They collect grass and dry it in the sun before storing it deep in their rocky homes for winter!

Mountain Neighbors:
Pikas live in colonies but are very protective of their own territory and food piles—just like Tikko!
